I decided to write the information on this website because I’ve got a lifetime of knowledge about driver behaviour held captive in my head, where it’s no good to anybody else, and it’s time to release it into the wild. And because I believe you’re being poorly served by the service industry that’s supposed to help business fleets manage their drivers’ behaviour but doesn’t. Well, not much.
In part, this comes from varying degrees of ignorance of the science of driver behaviour amongst road safety practitioners. What is more disturbing is that, when confronted with the evidence that much of what they do is useless or pretty ineffective, many of these practitioners either refuse to believe it or they simply keep quiet about it.
I’m making all this stuff free for two main reasons.
Firstly, it’s become an established practice on the internet that those who claim to know what they’re talking about should prove it by putting useful information out into the public domain for free. While the old-style of own-trumpet-blowing corporate website (yawn) claims expertise, nowadays it’s important to demonstrate it with content.
Within these articles and the free Special Report you’ll see me build a strong case for why you need to manage driver behaviour, you’ll get a good idea of what you need to do and, if you put the effort in, you’ll be able work out a good deal of how to do it. I’m very happy for you to take the ball and run with it.
Secondly, I know that there are plenty of readers who are happy to pay for expertise to help them manage driver behaviour within their organisations, whether in the form of consulting, coaching or educational interventions. This platform allows me to start building relationships with these potential customers and to prove my value to them.
If you think I might be able to offer something of value to you, perhaps you’d like to consider setting up a no-obligation initial strategy session in which we can discuss managing driver behaviour in your business.
