Why is the information on this site so different from everybody else’s stuff?

If some, or most, of what I present here is contrary to what you’ve read elsewhere, it’s because:

  • few people outside academia have made the effort to uncover what driver behaviour is really about;
  • with a few notable exceptions, researchers inside academia are usually ineffective at communicating their findings to the non-academic world;
  • even with a thorough understanding of driver behaviour, it still has to be translated into practical systems in order to be of use to business;
  • those who want to sell you so-called solutions may deliberately ignore or suppress research findings that contradict or weaken their propositions.

So Drivernetics takes a contrarian stance, but it’s a stance that I think you’ll find makes a great deal of sense.
